Welcome to the most invigorating, replenishing and joy-filled Friday of your month! This 90-minute class is the perfect end to your week and will smooth your transition into the weekend. It will support the release of physical and emotional tension that may have accumulated during the week, with powerful breath techniques and flowing Hatha Yoga based physical sequences.
Every month we will explore a different topic and use yoga to consider how this topic appears in our lives.
These will include:
Friday 20th March 2020 – Join me and our amazing community as we celebrate the Spring Equinox and explore the theme of balance. We will be considering how balance applies in our lives, through our breath and in our physical bodies as we learn some exciting new balancing postures.
Friday 17th April 2020 – Join me and our amazing community as we explore the theme of surrender and think about the places we want to let go and release. We will explore breathing and meditation techniques as well as physical yoga postures and flowing sequences that bring the energy of dropping down and letting go.
Friday 15th May 2020 – Join me and our amazing community as we explore the theme of strength in our physical, mental and emotional lives. We will consider what it means to us to be strong and how this manifests in our own lives.
Friday 19th June 2020 – Join me and our amazing community as we explore the theme of contrast. We will be gathering on the eve of the Summer Solstice, the day with the most sunlight in the whole year, coinciding with a New Moon – the darkest night of the cycle. We will explore the contrast of day and night, light and darkness, movement and stillness, considering how our bodies and minds react to each and how we can find greater peace.
This is a session for all abilities and everyone from experienced yogis to complete beginners are welcome. Full instruction is given for all postures and more advanced versions are available for those wanting to go deeper.
The only requirement is an open mind and a curious spirit to explore how the ancient practice of yoga can support you to flourish in the modern world.
